VLC speed AV   Print
Written by Wei-Jing Zhu

Comments on why VLC will transform loading AV content into your brain.Only VLC (Videolan) has the feature of speed listening and viewing of Audio and Video content (of any format) with adjusting the speed slower or faster (up to 4X).  This will be sufficient for normal human intake.
Watching most DVD with this, and you can skip many boring material.

Furthermore, listening to mp3, viewing flash content, even podcast mp4 files are all possible.

The speedup viewing option is not availabe on the Mac version of VLC.

So, putting Linux VLC on the EEE PC (via EasyPeasy) or getting a Windows Netbook (for larger hard disk internal memory for all the TED talks) will allow you to have the ultimate portable AV speed learning device.
